Salto del Limón, located in a protected area, is a 40 m (approx.) waterfall that culminates in a pool of crystal clear water.
The journey to the waterfall may be done either on foot or by riding a horse or mule. It is a distance of between one and two hours on a steep road that passes over rocks and mud through a dense, humid tropical forest. The scenery around Limón is beautiful with small wooden houses painted in bright colours.
